CI Introduction

Taegeuk, Harmony and Cooperation

The CI of the Korean Association of Research Management and Administration (KARMA) embodies our mission to bridge research and administration while fostering harmony and collaboration across the global research management community. It reflects the belief that researchers can fully dedicate themselves to discovery only when supported by strong and professional administration, and that the Association serves as the vital link between the two.

The design draws inspiration from the Taegeuk symbol of the Korean flag and the traditional blue of dancheong. The Taegeuk represents harmony, balance, and cooperation—values that symbolize not only the organic connection between research and administration but also the broader collaboration among universities, research institutes, industry, and government. The blue color conveys trust and continuity, highlighting KARMA's commitment to professionalism and its role in sustaining the long-term growth of Korea's R&D ecosystem.

Furthermore, the dynamic curves and color palette express KARMA's vision as an open platform that promotes international cooperation and global alignment. More than a visual identity, our CI stands as a symbol of KARMA's mission: to connect research and administration, to unite domestic and international communities, and to advance collaboration and innovation worldwide.
